Writing Center

This semester I did not go to the writing center although I regret that because I believe that it would have helped me with my writing process. I did schedule an appointment but the writing center schedule was messed up and it kicked me out of the appointment schedule. During my revision process I reread my paper with my mom who is an english major. She helped me correct run-on sentences and punctuation issues.
After that during class when we peer edited I took the suggestions in my paper and put it into a final draft. Next I read my paper out loud to see if it flowed properly and I could read it fluently. Next I looked at spelling errors and found non. The revision process helped me get my paper in order to turn it in.

Lathans Prompt

In a perfect world there are many things that would change. People would not cheat or steal because everyone would be so giving. And there would be no poverty because there should be no people that are poor and mistreated. Another thing is that there would be no stereotypes and discrimination towards any race because I believe that God made you your race for a reason and you shouldn't be discriminated by it.
Also another thing is that all things were free no matter what. So that no matter who you are you can have just as much as the other person. Next thing that I would do would be to create an antidote to all the world's diseases to create a happier environment filled with less death.

Stowe Vermont

Every year during Christmas time my family and I take a trip to Stowe Vermont to ski. This is a very fun time of year because when we arrive in Vermont we go to see my 90-year-old great grandmother who lives in the mountains and we arrive there there's a frozen Creek icicles and snow all visible. After we get there we have dinner and visit with her.
Next we go to a ski resort call the Von Trapp's ski resort. And we stay there for about 4 1/2 days and do nothing but ski. The first day we usually ski green slopes which are easy and fun. Next we ski blues and blacks which are more challenging but so much of a better site. This is one of the trips that I always remember because of the memories that happened on it. I hope we go back this year.

Literary analysis Work

For me this Literary analysis paper was very challenging due to the fact that I literally ran out of words to put onto the page. After I wrote down my thesis and the quotations i had found I was only onto the bottom of the second age wondering how in the world I was going to complete the third page. So I quickly found more quotes and analyzed them to add to my draft.
After I did that I had to  put it on paper. I find that the most difficult part reading the information from an outline and putting it into words the your teacher can follow. Next after I wrote down all of the Information that got me down to the third page I finally wrote my conclusion and finished my rough draft.

Symbolism Post

It was Christmas eve and Tina Jefferson was leaving the house to go out with her friend Brian. Tina's dad was yelling at her because he was saying that it is Christmas eve and you shouldn't be out. Tina didn't listen and went to go meet Brian at the restaurant anyway. Once Tina got to the restaurant she spotted Brian at a booth. She walked over and sat down across from him. He asked how she was doing and she said she was doing fine. The waiter came by and Tina and Brian placed their order. Then Brian started talking about his boss and Tina started to be less interested because she saw a family at the table behind Brian. She soon realized she made a mistake about leaving her family on Christmas eve to go out and have dinner with a friend. Tina said she had to go and went home to be with her family.

 - The symbolic message in this story is that family comes first. Tina realized she needed to see her parents because they won't be around forever and you only get so many Christmas'. This is the overall message of the story.

How To make Duck Poppers

There are many ways to make duck poppers first you go to the grocery store and get these few ingredients Cream cheese, duck, jalapeƱos and Bacon. Next you slice the bacon in half then you cut the duck into smaller pieces and put it on the bacon. Next you add cream cheese and jalapeƱos and roll them up until they are tightly pact then put a toothpick through the bacon to keep it from unraveling.
You repeat this process until you have enough you would like. After that you put them on a charcoal grill and cook them for about 20 minutes or until they get Brown. Next thing you do is you get pepper jelly and barbecue sauce and mix them together and put them in the microwave until everything is melted. After that you dip the popper in the barbecue sauce and enjoy.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. Not very often my whole extended family is together at once. This includes my grandma, uncles, aunts, cousins, and of course, my family. I love sitting around the table and taking in their presence. There are many things my family does during the Thanks giving day from about 8:00 in the morning my parents start to cook. Preparing the Turkey, Making the sweet potato casserole, and many other delicacies that my family likes.
Thanksgiving has always been one of the most fun times out of the year because usually my uncle and my cousin come down the first week of the Thanksgiving break and we go hunt, fish, watch LSU games and much more. Out of all the Holidays I think I will remember this one the most because of all the older relatives i get to spend time with.
